Stories

The stories told here began with a single Random Act request….
from an Oakland Firefighter after a 911 call,
or from a social worker at Children’s Hospital Oakland,
or after a visit to a hospital.

Normally, after a request is fulfilled, the story ends there.
But, in some cases, we are so touched by the people we are helping that we get personally involved, and we can’t help but to want to do more.

Lives become intertwined and friendships develop.
The people become a part of our lives.
And, we realize that we actually received more than we gave.  

As you read these stories we hope that they will inspire you
to make a difference in someone’s life.
It can start with just a simple Random Act of Kindness.
