On January 8th, 2003 at 23:15 the City of Oakland Fireboat Seawolf responded to an out of control restaurant fire on the Alameda side of the estuary. What happened when the fireboat arrived on the scene is a classic example of what a fireboat can do. The 3800 gpm turret made short work of a fire that threatened to spread quickly to other structures on the island.
