Ricky's Sports Theatre & Grill Hosts Formula 1 Opener
and Benefit for Oakland Firefighters Random Acts
Saturday, March 15, 2008
Starts 7:00 pm

This Saturday Night, March 15th, come join your fellow Formula One race fans at Ricky's in San Leandro to watch the opening race of the 2008 Championship.  The night will feature a charitable fundraising benefit and silent auction for "Oakland Firefighters Random Acts" starting at 7:00 pm with live music from The HOO!  Free Admission!!   The silent auction will include High Performance Driving Experience gift certificates from the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), rare F1 photos from award winning international photographers, and a very hard to get "Grand Prix Guide".  These guides are the first thing that journalists get at the first race.  They get one a year and must have F1 press accreditation to receive a copy.  We will auction two of them.  The guide contains thousands of F1 facts at your finger tips.  The whole history of F1 is in this book and every year it gets revised.  You might never get another chance to get one of these.  A  VERY RARE ITEM FOR THE PUBLIC!

The big event takes place 7:00 pm, Saturday, March 15th at Ricky's in San Leandro CA.  Ricky's was voted by Sports Illustrated as the #2 Sports Bar in the country.  The race will be the featured event that night so many of the 60+ TV's including the giant projector screen will be showing the Melbourne F1 race live on Speed TV.  No cover charge for the race, and all ages are welcome.  The bigger your group the earlier you should show up!  Free wifi will be available for fans who want to follow the race on their laptops.
